Dan Merchant, Writer/Director/Producer

A veteran of the entertainment industry, Dan makes his debut as a feature documentary director with Lord, Save Us From Your Followers. Though after being battle tested for two years shooting the movie, traveling the country and shaping 100 hours of footage into a powerful, entertaining film, he is a rookie no longer.

Dan recently optioned the screenplay You Make Me Sick, (co-written with James Melkonian), the raucous teen comedy about a high schooler who fakes a terminal illness to improve his social standing. Dan’s first novel, The Great American Stay At Home Wives Conspiracy, published by MPress, is development with Darkhorse Entertainment with Dan attached to pen the script.

Dan’s television credits include: Executive Producer/Writer of VH1’s critically acclaimed “rock and roll Twilight Zone” anthology series, Strange Frequency, hosted by The Who’s Roger Daltrey, Soccer Moms, a pilot script for CBS/Warner Bros. and the regional Emmy winning Bill Nye the Science Guy.

Dan has just completed the script Three Sunrises, a heart warming, web of life, ensemble piece about grace and is also working on the companion book to Lord, Save Us From Your Followers.
